It is Flash Me Friday over at the Groettum Family Blog... 

This week it's Your view. So here is my view nothing really exciting.  At the end of the sidewalk their is a stop sign and the girls are not allowed to cross the street. I love are court/circle because they girls can go out side and play and I know they are OK out there.

Well, I finally got around to reading the blogs I follow so here is my flash me Friday.

Does it ever end?

     Where shall I start? Courtney had her CF clinic appointment today. That meant she had to get up a hour earlier than normal so she was up at 5:00 A.M. so she could do a hour of treatment and then eat and get dressed. Well even though she got up when she did and I got up at 4:30 A.M. we still some how left the house late and so there for we were late for her appointment but only like 10 minutes. That's when it all went up and down hill. She weighs 42.6 lbs so she gained 1 pound in 2 months I will take that but I wish it would have been more since it's getting that time of year again. Her doctor thinks her cough is more allergy and asthma related but want to finish her antibiotics and she is on Orapred 2 times a day of three days and she is now going to be taking a total of 40 mgs of Prilosec 20 mg 2 times a day. Her doctor had also asked me if she has ever had sinus surgery and then when I replied with no the next question was has she ever had a CT scan of her sinus, I felt like saying her chart is right there look but I didn't. I replied back with I think so and I think it was over a year ago when she was in the hospital so we may be looking at a CT scan and or sinus surgery. Not what I wanted to hear. She had a throat culture done today and bless her little heart she said can't I just get a shot instead. Well, her throat culture got done but 2 tries and I swear like 15-20 minutes later we finally got it. She signed a contract with her doctor saying by the time she goes back she will be able to spit for her sputum culture. We were also told that she can do her Pulmozyme when she is doing her vest. I was a happy mommy to hear this. She now has to do her Advair with a spacer with just the mouth piece. We go back in 6 weeks instead of 8 weeks and I don't know how I feel about that one. She is also running a fever 99.7 at clinic and that's what it seems to be hanging at so I kept her home and my poor baby hasn't had a chance to rest.

     The school is giving me a hard time because I am wanting a 504 plan for her and not a health care plan. School nurse called me today saying this and that and trying to tell me a 504 was like a IEP and I told her very nicely I don't think so I know what a IEP is for because my oldest has one. I think it's because they don't want to do all the paper work!!!! The nurse sent Courtney's health care plan home with her last week from last year and I about had to laugh because it was a joke granted it had what I needed in there but a lot of other BS!!!! Well, I am off to spend time with my girls before dinner time and treatments.

WOW

What a week it has been. Courtney is on a antibiotic for her cough. That child can never be normal lol. Her cough is off and on and lately when she has been coughing it sounds like it's getting worse, she told me tonight she just didn't feel very very very very very well. She hasn't had a fever so that is a good thing and we go to clinic on Tuesday my poor baby will have to get up at 5:00 A.M. just to get treatment done and be able to eat she is gonna be a tired little girl and I bet you any thing she will ask to go to school.
     I on the other hand have had a headache for 4 days and I can finally say I think it may be all the way gone. I just still have soreness in my neck and shoulder but hey I will take that over the headache any day. We are headed to Michigan Monday morning for the day with some friends so that should be fun. It's suppose to be warm so lets hope so. I just have to find my camera so I can take some pictures. Well that's about it for now. I will try to update either Tuesday night or Wednesday about our day trip and also how her clinic appointment went. Hope you all are having a fun and safe weekend. To all the kiddo's, adults that are feeling the best you will all be in my prayers and hope you all start feeling better quickly.

Sour Apples

That is the name that Courtney's team decided on today why in line to get soccer pictures done. I have to say they all played there little hearts out today but I am sad in a way since coaching Courtney's team I have to be on the field why they play and also tend to the kiddo's that are out and also tie shoes why on the field. Well, why doing one of those things I missed out seeing my baby make her first goal ever. I didn't know she had made one until I was looking of the score card. My mama said that after Courtney had made the goal and make it back down to the other half of the field that she ran over there and said grandma did you see that goal I made, or something close to that. Don't get me wrong I enjoying being a coach especially on game day but I have decided that after this season I am going back to a sideline mom/coach. Courtney told me she wanted to play in the spring I am hoping that she will do that and maybe even do next fall so Eric can be her coach for once and that way Dezi can have some one else as a coach. Don't get me wrong Eric is a awesome coach but I think it's time Dezi has someone else. 
     I planned on Courtney playing 3 quarters today but she ended up playing 2.5 quarters because it was getting hot out side and also because I could tell that she was starting to breathe a lot harder that normally even when she is at practice. She got up at 6 this morning and did a hour of treatment and she was coughing last night and through out the day today :( .

This evening as I was getting telling her that is was treatment time she was doing this and then gave it to me.

Need less to say that she was trying to get out of treatment but it didn't work I just turned her vest down a little bit. Lets hope she doesn't cough to much tonight. She will be up early again tomorrow morning to do treatment as we have church but she will get to sleep until 7 instead of 6. Not sure how that girl can still be going at night but once her head hits the pillow she is asleep.

Plates and bowls I think we got them at either Target or Walmart we have the small plates and the little plates and the little coffee cups that go with it but we hardly don't use them. I want new dishes

Quick update on Courtney

Courtney had her first soccer game ever today. Needless to say we all got soak but Courtney never gave up or complained. She ran as fast as her little legs would let her. I am so proud of her and her team even though they lost 11-7 but that's OK they had a great time. Needless to say she took a shower when she got home and ate lunch and then did a hour of treatment.. I love and hate this time of year!!!! Courtney is starting to couch more often so we have bumped up her treatments. We will keep a eye on it and go from there. Why does CF have to rear it's ugly head so soon??? I know there are more lil ones that have it more rough then Courtney but still!!!!!! As I sit here typing this I can hear her cough I guess it's time for a breathing treatment and then dinner and then nebs and vest and then off to bed since we all are going to church in the morning.... On a quick note she has been really good about getting up at 6:30 to do treatments. We let her sleep in a little bit on Friday morning and all I have to say is NEVER AGAIN she had the worse attitude.
